About Me

Andrea Halverson is the Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Kaleidoscope Charter School in Otsego, MN. In this position, she provides professional development and training for teachers, serves as the district assessment and instructional technology coordinators, serves as the QComp program liaison, oversees federal programs, supervises the MN Reading Corps program, and coordinates the new teacher induction program. Before working at KCS, she spent time as a K-12 technology integration specialist.

Prior to her work in technology, she taught elementary and middle school music for nine years. While in the music classroom, she sat on both state and regional boards for music education groups and was a frequent presenter and local, state and regional music education conferences.

Andrea was born and raised in a small town in southern Minnesota. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading enough books to complete her Goodreads book challenge, music, and being outside with her family in the many parks near her home.
